Am 29. Mai 2025 nahmen wir als Islamische Gemeinschaft Mill\u00ee G\u00f6r\u00fc\u015f Regionalverband D\u00fcsseldorf an der Gedenkveranstaltung in Solingen teil, die dem Brandanschlag auf die Familie Gen\u00e7 am 29. Mai 1993 gewidmet war. In diesem Jahr wurde die Veranstaltung erstmals vom Verein Mevl\u00fcde Gen\u00e7 e.V. organisiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am Ort des Verbrechens \u2013 vor dem ehemaligen Wohnhaus der Familie in der Unteren Wernerstra\u00dfe \u2013 versammelten sich zahlreiche Menschen, um der f\u00fcnf get\u00f6teten M\u00e4dchen und Frauen zu gedenken und gemeinsam ein Zeichen gegen Rassismus, Hass und Ausgrenzung zu setzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die bewegende Mevl\u00fcde-Gen\u00e7-Rede hielt der renommierte Historiker Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Benz. Er erinnerte eindrucksvoll an die gesellschaftliche Verantwortung, die Erinnerung wachzuhalten und entschlossen f\u00fcr ein friedliches Miteinander einzutreten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00fcr uns war es eine Ehre, an diesem bedeutenden Tag teilzunehmen. Das Verm\u00e4chtnis von Mevl\u00fcde Gen\u00e7 \u2013 ihr Mut, ihre Menschlichkeit und ihr Aufruf zur Vers\u00f6hnung trotz tiefster pers\u00f6nlicher Verluste \u2013 bleibt ein leuchtendes Beispiel, das uns auch heute Orientierung und Hoffnung gibt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Anschluss an die Zeremonie kamen die Teilnehmenden zu einem gemeinsamen Essen zusammen \u2013 in Erinnerung an die herzliche Gastfreundschaft von Mevl\u00fcde Gen\u00e7 und im Geiste des Dialogs und der Begegnung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
